The life cycle of your skin

When the skin barrier is vulnerable, it can quickly lose moisture and environmental factors or external irritants can more easily penetrate the skin’s protective outer layers. This further upsets the natural balance and disrupts skin cell renewal, which can cause skin to become dry, itchy and irritated. A baby’s skin is 30% thinner1 and more delicate than an adult’s because its protective barrier is still developing throughout the first year of life, making it more susceptible to external irritants.

Oilatum® scientists understand the cycle of dry skin and we use our scientific expertise to design products that can break this cycle to soothe your dry, very dry and irritated skin and protect it from further discomfort.
